Qualifications:

No prior gardening experience required; training and guidance are provided.

Must be at least 18 years old or have guardian supervision.

As a Garden Team Volunteer, you will help create a beautiful and productive garden space that not only enhances the physical environment of Compassion House but also offers residents an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with nature. Your work will contribute to the well-being of the young mothers and their children, providing them with valuable life skills in sustainability and healthy living.
As part of the Transportation Team, you will assist with providing safe, reliable transportation for the young mothers and children at Compassion House. Your role will ensure that residents can access important appointments, work, educational opportunities, and other essential services, helping them maintain their independence and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide transportation to residents for medical appointments, job interviews, school, grocery shopping, and other essential errands.

Ensure that all transportation is provided in a safe, timely, and respectful manner.

Assist residents with loading and unloading any necessary items (e.g., groceries, strollers, or personal belongings).

Help coordinate transportation schedules with staff to ensure residents have access to needed services and opportunities.

Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and ensure it is in good working condition.

Follow all safety protocols, including ensuring that children are properly secured in appropriate car seats or seat belts.

Offer support and a positive, encouraging environment during transport.
Qualifications:

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Reliable, responsible, and punctual.

Comfortable working with young mothers and children of various ages.

A friendly, compassionate attitude and excellent communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold Compassion House's values.
