A home for pregnant and parenting teens ages 11 through 17
Our dream is to break the cycles of poverty, abuse
and neglect that many teen mothers experience.
Our Mission
To provide a safe learning environment for young mothers to discover hope for their future
Our Vision
All young mothers who graduate from the Compassion House program are empowered to build healthy, fulfilling lives. Equipped with education, essential life skills, and strong support systems, they are prepared to create a stable and nurturing home environment for themselves and their child.
Our Initiatives
Breaking Generational Cycles
Teen pregnancy, lack of education, poverty, abuse, and neglect are challenges that often perpetuate across generations. At Compassion House, we are dedicated to empowering young mothers with the tools and support they need to break these cycles. By addressing their unique circumstances, we help them build a brighter future for themselves and their children as true cycle breakers.
“Nutrition and Housing”
Many of the individuals we serve face housing instability and food insecurity. At Compassion House, we are committed to providing our residents with a safe and stable place to call home, along with access to healthy, nutritious meals to support their overall well-being.
Education, Graduation, and Beyond
In Arkansas, only about half of teen mothers graduate high school by age 20, and just 2% go on to earn a college degree by age 30. At Compassion House, we are changing that narrative. We ensure every young mother in our program graduates with a high school diploma or equivalent, laying the foundation for a brighter future and greater opportunities beyond graduation.
The Baby Barn Boutique
Located on the Compassion House campus, The Baby Barn Boutique is a resource for families navigating the challenges of teen pregnancy in Benton and Washington Counties. Stocked with new and gently used baby items, the boutique serves both the families in our program and the broader community, providing essential support during this critical time.
Volunteering
At Compassion House, we embrace the truth behind the old proverb:
"It takes a village."
We work tirelessly to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young mothers can thrive. By joining our volunteer initiative, you can be part of that village—making a meaningful impact in the lives of these young families and contributing to a stronger, more supportive community. Together, we can change lives.
Teen Survivors Program
The Teen Survivors Program at Compassion House is dedicated to supporting young mothers who have endured abuse, neglect, or trauma. We connect these brave individuals with professional therapy and counseling services, providing the healing and resources they need to rebuild their lives and create a brighter future for themselves and their children.
